1st Birthday

Abagail had her first birthday one the 1st of August. We did a really small gathering of family that was in the area. Hopefully these will kind of give everyone an idea of what it was like. Caleb decorated Abagail's birthday cake, he's the artistic one. It was a German Chocolate Cake, and soo delicous.
This is Abagail having some of her birthday cake and was too busy watching everyone watch her that she had this very intense look on her face. It was pretty funny it took a while to get used to everyone stand around her with camera's.
Abagail had a great time opening her presents, I think she enjoyed the wrapping paper and bags rather than the actual presents but it was fun to watch her tear them all apart.
This was a little book that Lana gave her. It's a cow puppet in the center of the board book; right after this part Caleb scared her to death with it. Abagail was just about to go and pet the cow and he made it jump at her, she backed up real fast and almost started to cry. She still doesn't really like the book as much as she might have.
This is one of her presents from Great Grandma Padilla, it had a really cute collar that you can't see under the bib. We're on the back portch, it's nearly impossible to keep that girl in the house!!

Okay that was pretty much all that went on with her birthday, like I said it was really a small thing and kid of set up at the last minute. i must be a bad mom to not spend so much time on her first birthday. oh well. We wish everyone could have been there it would have a lot more fun! We all need to get together, Abagail has cousin's she's never met and we haven't seen everyone in forever.
