Oh Yeah, it's real!

So last weekend we decided that if we were going to get a Christmas Tree this year it was now or never. I was thinking that we were just going to get a little fake one to sit on the end table, but Abby wins again, Surprise, surprise.
I'd have never guessed, but Caleb and I have totally different thoughts on what a Christmas Tree should look like. I like the super full and bushy that smell really good and Caleb likes the Charlie Brown trees. So this is what we got....
I actually like it, after having it up for a week now we have both decided that we should have taken off the top section. I know you can't really tell, but our decorations are the best! Candy Canes. You can't go wrong, no storing them for next year, if they break you just eat them and I don't think they look that bad.
I should do an advent Calendar thing with it. Eat a Candy Cane for every day until Christmas with a little thought or service project attached. It sounds like a good idea, I just need to put into action. And now for the best picture yet...

Very nice! I grew up with real trees, like what you were envisioning. My parents now have an artificial tree, and it's sad that it doesn't smell quite like Christmas used to, but it still looks really nice. Your tree is a little on the Charlie Brown side, but maybe next year you can get a fuller tree. :)

It's the bomb! Love the idea of the advent calendar. Hey, has someone told you lately you are a good mom? You are! We have yet to decorate our little fake tree. It sits all nudist like in the corner. Poor thing. :)

I like it! It seems like a decent compromise between the charlie brown style and the more traditional bushy tree. way to be a good couple! Our tree is made of pipe cleaners and rises a whopping 8 1/2 inches tall - compliments to the Martha Stewart crafts website!! :)

I like your blogs but seldom comment. Now I'm waiting for the baby pictures. AND Abby holding her brudder!
