Puppy Problems!!

My new puppy has a problem! She likes to 'play' with other baby animals. In the playing game the other baby animal usually ends up dead, you know, like little kitty's today it was a baby Muskrat (Which I found out is also called a kitten). I have no idea where she found the sweet little rodent but I found it in my parents back yard a little bit ago, dead as a doornail. The kitty thing was really bad, the neighbour boys have been really big on catching the wild barn kitty's and taming them. Luckily she hasn't gotten a hold of any of those kittens, I think they just have to run away for her to catch them. She doesn't bother any of the friendly ones, then again it could be because they'll chase her back. Anyway My puppy murders other baby animals, and I'm not sure how I feel about it. I guess all the gopher hunting is paying off, just not in the areas we were hoping for. She still can't find the gophers unless someone else catches it for her. Then she'll proudly take it away from them. Okay the end of the puppy/muskrat/kitten/kitty story.

On a happier note, about 2 weeks ago I took my horse to his first show. We only entered in two classes and the first one we didn't place and in, it was an English Equitation class for all you horse people and the second was an English Pleasure class and we placed 5th. I was really impressed with him for his first show, especially since he has spent most of his life at a race track. Oh, for everyone not horse in on the horse lingo an equitation class is where they judge the rider and the pleasure class is where they judge the horse on whether or not he is a pleasure to ride. We have another show this coming Thursday night and we'll see how we have improved.
Well I'm not at my computer so we'll get pictures next time. I guess I'll write in about another three months or so. PEACE
